Just got an X and I haven't put my plate up yet. Since I'm in the usdm market I was contemplating the passenger side. Away from the oncoming traffic. On the flip side that would call the monkeys in to pull me over faster than a triple tittied hooker. So what's you favorite side and why?

 

If you have the OEM plate holder it goes on the driver's side. My favorite side is none. Haven't gotten pulled over knock on wood.

why is it that some states require a front license plate to begin with?
whats the reason behind it?
and why is it that some states got rid of it ( ie like Florida)

 

driver side, but most of my car except evo, i dont put the plate on

 

i think using the front plate makes the car ugly lol

 

One reason in the last few years for front plate, so police can run plates while your behind them. States are going to single plate to cut costs but charge same amount.

 

Used Velcro and mounted in the center with a generic bracket. Remove for track days and other things....

 

I don't have a front plate on the evo but if I end up getting harrassed about it, I suppose it will go on the driver side

 

i know some states will let you keep it on your dash inside the car as long as its secured someway.

I love the south. No emissions, no front plates, no inspections, you can pass a cop doing 15mph over sometimes and they don't care.. its amazing.

 

I bought my evo X used and the plate was already on driver side so I left it like that. Didn't put it on my IX and got pulled over several times.

 

We get fined if we don't have a front plate in CO. Any cop looking at mine in the mirror probably gets a laugh just before I honk cuz the light is green and he's not moving.

 

It must vary from county to county, I asked the DMV in el paso county and they said u can hav it on the dash. Didn't really trust them 100% so I asked a police officer and he said as long as u secure it so that it doesn't go flying your good..
