Never go in to boost.

On a side note, I thought that if you are tuned, the ECU will not change the maps for lower grades of gas automatically. I don't know for sure, but that's what I thought.

And like others said, Even when you get 93 again, stay out of boost. You will need to make sure it is all gone..

You'll know if it's bad... When you turn off the car, and the engine keeps going...

Ah yes - decoking an engine. That takes me back. My R5 GTT needed it twice before finally detonating itself into oblivion.

It will if your tuner was worth a spit and didn't make the Low Octane Fuel and Ignition Maps the same as the High maps

You'll be ok just dont beat it. Had to put 87 in the Misses FXT too. It sucks

Just BABY IT! I mean no boost, too bad if the people behind you don't like that you are going slow.

Just granny it along. As long as you aren't boosting it will be alright.
Slow fast cars are cool

ever see that super exotic car just cruising around?

Same with us. I just found some gas tonight on Route 46 BP Gas Station with super . Previously I went to 4 other stations that either had no gas or only had regular. It's a nightmare out there. Everyone stay safe!

The car has 2 maps stock. Hi-octane (93 or 91 depending on the area of purchase, in this case urs is 93), and low octane maps. Low octane map just make ur car tune richer. So it's ok if u put regular since the ecu will determine it. Timing will stay the same, but u will be filling up more since ur car will be running rich...and I'm not talking about 10afr rich, I'm talking about 8afr rich...diesel engine style!

I'm in the same boat. Had to put in 87. Got down to just below half a tank and put in 93 with octane booster. I havent seen boost in Almost 2 weeks! Cars running fine. Once this tank is empty I'm gonna fill up with 93 again and add another bottle of octane booster

Even if the tuner was careless and made the high/low octane maps the same, the ECU will still pull timing and richen the AF mixture when it detects knock as a short-term correction. The issue with both maps being the same is that there will be no long-term correction to timing and fuel as the octane level in the ECU gets lowered by repeated knocking.

On pre-X ECU's, low-octane maps have lower timing, not just richer AF. I would imagine this is the same on the X.
