Gauge Pillar for X?

Hey guys

I have been looking around for gauges lately for a Christmas present for myself I couldnt find anywhere that had a gauge pillar that would replace the OEM one with the tweeter in it. Does anyone know somewhere I could pick one up?

Also does anyone know anything about these gauges?
http://prosportgauges.com/blue-White...ce_gauges.aspx

I was looking at them and they seem reasonable. If there are other gauges that would suit better for boost, air, and oil. Please send them my way.

Thanks guys!

Cheers!

I personally think that glowshift and prosport go together quality wise. I would personally recommend AEM digital or Defi analog gauges..just a little better quality in my opinion.

I have prosport gauges in my dsm ( boost, coolant temp and EGT). They work fine but honestly I'm not sure I would buy them again. They are very hard to see in daylight the way the entire gauge lights up and at night they are almost too bright.

I'm going with AEM gauges in the evo when I get around to modding it, just boost and wideband mounted on the steering column.

I don't think I could justify spending 200+ on an a pillar pod, money better spend on a wideband if you don't have one yet imo

People charge ridiculous amounts for a-pillar pods. I would recommend just buying a dash pod like this: http://www.maperformance.com/ati-52m...shi-evo-x.html

Is this available in anything but carbon fiber? This is exactly what I'm looking for but just in black

That does look really clean. Still not sure I would pony up $250 for just the pod though.

Personally I like the simplicity of the $35 pod autometer makes for the viii and ix that mounts on the steering column lol

The reason why you only have two choices : DSG, which is pricey, or Rexspeed which is just a cover over the original and requires you to drill through your original to run the wires is because there's airbag behind the pillar.

Me personally, I was on the DSG pre-order and bought a 2gauge for like $240. It was worth it as the previous poster showed.

It sucks that stuff with the Evo isn't cheap, but it is because it's an Evo and not a cheap car.

Pay to play, and do it right.

You do have a point but if a mustang which costs just as much as an evo can get their pods made for $50, someone is making some serious cash on what they charge us. That whole airbag excuse I don't buy it oem A pillar retails for $46 on one of the websites I found. The problem is not one company wants to make a mold for it since that costs money up front, instead they custom make them and that takes time $$$.

I have a rexpeed cover because I refuse to pay that kind of money, I'm getting to a point where I'm just going to cut the pod section off the rexpeed pillars and molding it to my stock OEM A pillar making it a OEM fit.
