Hey guys, I was wondering if its unsafe to run catless. I know alot of people do, but isn't there a greater threat of carbon monoxide poisoning if so? Not to mention hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides.

I'm going to be carrying around a newborn for a little and I don't want to run catless if there is any potential of increased danger.

Just get a high flow cat. The power difference between a test pipe and high flow cat are about the same, unless you are going for 500+ whp.

There isn't any increased risk.. Unless you leave your newborn in the car while its running in a closed garage. People behind you will just get more of an exhaust smell..

Prior to about 1973--cars had not cats...so with that said is your question relevent--ie more issues with carbon monxoide piosoning back then?--- nope-- or it could be you wouldnt likely be here. Just a thought. In todays terms--keep the emissions stuff on the car and avoid all this crap.

WOW, how many double negatives can you throw into one barely cohesive thought?

HDGamer,

honestly it won't make a difference inside the cabin.
just be aware that the potential of droning alone inside the cabin will make the baby be awake all the time
