Weird Idle: Not FPR hose
Weird Idle: Not FPR hose
Hello all,
I am aware of the FPR hose popping off, and the possibility of specific color fuses to cause the car to run lean. However, I have neither of these things. My FPR is secured nicely, but I do have the green fuses.
It's not a rough idle or horrible idle at all. It actually just flutters very gently (about 20-50 rpms). I have no mods. Doesn't change when AC is on either.
Just wondering if this is normal
Thanks!

The way most Mitsu dealers deal with sort of thing goes like this: you come in with a problem; they either succeed or fail at finding the source; if they find it and it's covered, you pay nothing; if they either don't find it or say that it isn't covered, then you pay for the diagnosis (plus any repairs, in the latter case).
Note how this is set up so that they can't lose. If they don't find the problem (or worse: declare that there isn't a problem, even when it's obvious, such as a whining transfer case), then you still pay for diagnosis. This is why you do as much as you can before making an appointment.
Mitsu isn't alone in doing things in this way, but they are one of the worst, in my experience.
