Just picked up an X

Well after years of waiting, patiently, I finally got me an Evo. Nothing special about it. Its a 2010, bare bones, not even the RF. Only "option" it has is the interior sport package (shifter knob and e-brake handle). Had 37,210 miles on it, clean carfax, has even been serviced at 15k and 30k intervals. No issues with drivability so far. Biggest thing I'm having to adjust to is coming from an 09 ES I'm so used to having to floor the pedal to go anywhere, now it's almost instant. Gas is going to suck though and insurance went up a little, but being married helped that A LOT.

I don't have any big plans for it. To be honest I've been waiting to get one for so long it's almost surreal to me, actually driving it off the lot I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming lol. Def have to get the windows tinted in this one, had 20% on my ES and it was great, maybe that'll be my B-day gift for myself in March.

Anyways, it's been dreary/wet/rainy weather where I live at so here is a crappy pic. Once I get it detailed and cleaned up I'll post some better pics up

Thanks everybody. So I talked to a friend of mine who has had his X now for almost 100k miles and he reccomended that I put in 93 fuel. Is it true that they can run on 91?

Also, any warnings about the ASC or AWC settings for tarmac gravel or snow. Am I not supposed to go over a certain speed when ASC is off? SO MANY QUESTIONS!!!

Put in 93 please.

I suggest tarmac for road use, snow for, well, snow, and gravel...you get it... Get used to the car first.

No speed limiters for ASC on or off though realize that if you turn ASC off certain traction control functions are off. Read up first.

Enjoy the car.

Use 93. Some cities only have 91. Use what ever the best "premium" is..

And ^^ answered your other questions.

Let the car warm up in the mornings too. Forged pistons react a lot different to load at cold temps.. Not in a good way. Not much else.. Enjoy the car. Keep up with the maintainence very regularly and you should be good.

Also don't "drop the clutch". Puts a ton of stress on the drivetrain..
