A Pillar triple gauge pod

I just bought a 2011 EVO X yesterday and am looking to install an A pillar triple gauge pod. I was curious if anyone else had done this and what they did with the side curtain airbag in the A Pillar. Thanks for your help

the ones that are overlays will flip back and allow the airbag to deploy..so its not really getting in the way

You should hit up Sean from DSG. I bought a double, and love it. Came out great.

HAHAHA classic but oh so true.

I've been looking as well. Triples are hard to find, there's a guy on here that makes them in batches. Heard its takes a while to get though. Duals and singles are everywhere.

You could try using the PERRIN Gauge Pod.

You can mount this on top of your steering coulmn. Sells for about $81.25 from http://www.perrinperformance.com/mit...rior/gauge-pod

yeah there are a bunch of options to use the top of the steering column....idk if I want to put anything there..not the biggest fan of that placement...mainly debating between putting them on the a-pillar, over the guage cluster or in the middle over the navi...

Each to their own. I like them better because I'm always looking at my speed and RPM, so it gives me an oportunity to glimps at my AFR's and Boost.

This thread is a post away from Show & Shine. The question was about air-bags, people.

I'm not a fan of pillars because I hate how every other driver on the road sees them, however, I like keeping my head up and my eyes on the road, rather than down on the cluster. So for grabbing wb afr and boost in my peripheral while watching the road it's win.

Sorry, I should of mentioned in my picture post. I went with the DSG because they start with an OE Mitsu pillar when they make them. It retains the safety strap that prevents the pillars from flying when the airbags deploy. Even retains the airbag logo on the pillar itself.

Remember that when your bags go off (hopefully they never have to) the steering wheel bag will prevent gauges from ever hitting you, BUT, having the OE safety strap be used was *very* important on my decision.
