I am selling an M6 BMW and don't know much about Evo's. I have a guy with an '08 Evo GSR SSS. It's black with 44,000 miles and the following mods:
FP red turbo
intake pipe
3.5" intercooler
manual boost controller
AEM boost control and a/f meter
Tomei downpipe
Borla Catback
266 cam
ACT step 3 clutch
HKS blowoff valve
SSS package

That being said a evo making that much power on stock engine is most likely going to have issues down the road. Add in the fact it has mods on there they are shady in my opinion, i wouldnt offer more then 20k for it. But thats just me, some may agree with me, some may 100% disagree.
Not trying to knock the owner of the evo but im gonna guess it was beaten on and not taken care of. You can generally get a sence of how it was taken care of with the type/brand name of mods. The fact he went with hks bov, manual boost controller and aem boost controller (im assuming aem true boost), he didnt choose his mods carefully.

Also, 430whp? Dyno chart? What's the wtq? Doesn't mention aftermarket internals so I'd think really hard about this. If you're dead set on the buy then take it to Cobb or another reliable tuner for diagnostics before purchase.

I agree 100%. Personally, mods do not add value to any used car in my opinion. I would still go by kbb and the used market value.

The age old rule of Jap tuned cars is you generally don't get back the money you put in on mods... So try to price out a car based on it's stock book value. On the other hand if it has thousands of dollars worth of high quality mods then it's a different story.
A car with mods should be worth less than a car that is stock. This is the rule car dealers follow by and so should you when looking at buying a vehicle, especially if it has that ricer excuse for a BOV.
That HKS SSQV should automatically knock $5k off the asking price.

Who tuned it? What's the compression on it? Leak down test come out looking good? What do the datalogs of it running currently look like?

Was the timing belt changed? Stock bottom end I'm assuming, might be good to ask if he started collecting parts for a bottom end that might go with the sale. Does the Tcase look good? Diff pins holding up well?
