agreed. I've always used fresh gaskets when installing exhausts. Sometimes doubling up where the catback meets the cat helps to prevent leaks. Grimmspeed makes an extra thick gastket as well.

I love my Tomei, but it is out of the $ range (new). Isn't there a less expensive alternative out there? "Lite" something....

Why not buy used from a forum member here or at the other forum?

Yeah, there was litespec. I think they went out of business though.

For what you're looking for you can't go wrong with the Greddy Turbo TI-C. But I think the Perrin Dual Tip Cat-Back Exhaust sounds the best for EVO X.

I love perrin products and their exhaust sounds very nice imo but the HKS sound sells me every time, check the HKS compared to the Blitz which sounds really similar to the perrin imo

I have an ARK Design 3.5in Single tip.

Picked it up on sale at their e-bay outlet for about $500 brand new!

Sounds really mean when you get on it, deep and aggressive and dead quiet with zero drone when cruising on the freeway. Didn't even have to bend or cut the stock heatshield to make it fit.

Definitely felt a bump in power from having it.

Their youtube video but definitely representative of how it sounds.

that sounds pretty nice and 500 is super cheap for brand new, thought it might be a little louder for single tip but the speakers on my Alienware arent that great

The OP is in Irvine CA, just a stones throw from RRE in Santa Fe Springs. Why not go to RRE and get one of their Stealth exhausts. Full 3" cat-back for a paltry $530 ... installed! Just sayin'.

I believe the video car (like mine) still has a stock downpipe, and cat converter which quiet things down a bit. With a testpipe and an intake the thing should open up even further. I love the fact that I can cruise and shut this thing up if I need to and not attract attention of the fuzz or get a nice deep bark out of it when I drop the hammer.

That was my original choice before I got my exhaust. Straight muffler stealth single blacked out.
