service engine light flash sometimes. need help?

I got evo x, 2011. And get protune from cobb in plano, mods with down pipe, test pipe, EBCS, turbo inlet,SF intake and catback. And I get 320 whp, 340wtq,27psi. Sometimes when push the gas pedal hard the service engine light is flashing and go away. Maybe the sensor is too sensitive or engine was knocked? confuse about it. anyone give some suggest?

Tephra CEL knock flash; sounds like you're knocking a bit. Are you using quality gas? What fuel were you tuned on?

Yeah, a couple counts on a pull is okay if it's not consistent. But 15? that's excessive.

Try an octane booster. Maybe you got some bad fuel. Keep your eye on the counts too.

15 is excessive. What kind of fuel were you tuned on, and what are you running now (octane, brand, and location)?

Agreed. I rarely ever even see 3 counts, which is where my CEL flash is set at.

Could his fuel pump relay be going bad and he's not getting enough fuel at WOT maybe?

Possible; or his FPR hose popped off.

Definitely check the Fuel pump relay! ASAP

switch it with one of these other relays, preferably the headlight high beam relay and see if problem still persists.

If it's the relay, he can cross check to see if he's running lean on a WB AFR (If he has one), if he's not showing leaner than tuned, yet knocking, it's probably just octane.

I'm betting bad fuel, but if the OP has an 08-10, changing the relays out is never a bad suggestion

That still seems a bit strange, you should look into the FPR/fuel system as the others have said.
