Tomei in California

Looking at purchasing a Tomei cat back titanuim exhaust. Anybody had any problems with these in California? I want a single exit but I want to be able to get through smog.

I have no airbox modifications and probably won't do anything else but wheels and suspension while I am in CA.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks guys!

Not sure what your mods are but if you have an oem cat attached to your catback, you should be fine!

I have an 8 with mods in my sig and my oem cat was put back on because I failed without it...previously had a HFC but it did nothing to keep me out of a gross poluter sniffer reading here in CA!

Oh, I also have Cams....not listed in my sig.

No mods. But I do want the growl. It will be just an exhaust, suspension and wheels.

If you don't have a C.A.R.B stamp technically anything is illegal and if you get a d*** officer he could also give you a ref ticket which is a pita.

Depends on the smog place how picky they will be about an aftermarket exhaust but as long as you don't replace the cat everything should be good to go with the sniffer.

You should be fine. I've smogged several different cars with aftermarket exhaust and never had issue.

Just swap the factory exhaust back on for smog day, the day after....simply swap back the aftermarket exhaust. Simple....few hours of work. Done.
