Friend said its a seal In my turbo? Wondering what u guys think. When car is accelerating alot of black smoke apparently....

 

black smoke is afrs to rich . blue smoke would be oil related

 

Or it's just excess carbon that caked into your exhaust that looks like smoke and is blowing out.

 

Normal on the Evo's stock tune.

thats normal blue smoke and you would have a problem. its just running rich

 

'How much smoke'? A puff or a smoke screen ala James Bond/007?

 

Could be normal BUT when i installed my cobb turbo back my car was running really rich when i stepped on it an let off a cloud of black smoke came out the back everytime soooo i had to hurry an get cobbs Accessport so i could tune it for a stage 2......Cobbs turboback plus stock tune = NO good

 

black= rich fuel
blue= oil aka goodbye rings
white= coolant aka goodbye head gasket

 

It ain't an Evo without black smoke pouring out of the exhuast at WOT
