Need Feedback on aftermarket CMC, Yes another victim

So yesterday in a turning lane my CMC went out.

I installed an Exedy Stage 1 clutch back in December on the stock CMC. (2010 GSR).

Now I was researching yesterday and it seems that SSP is the only direct fit aftermarket CMC for our cars, without having to do a lot of work to replace the OEM CMC.

Now the question is:

Is the SSP CMC reliable? the forum shows a lot of bad experiences and just wanted to see if anyone had a good exp with this install?

Also It seems a lot of people have the SSP V3, but on their website it shows they now have a V4, made of delrin plastic. Is this plastic the OEM CMC kind of plastic? or does anyone have this set up that can give me some feedback on the part's performance.

Any help would be appreciated.

i wouldn't go with any SSP products at all. with their constant v1, v2, v3, etc i always wonder if they even do adequate research into their product line.

I have Magnus, but they are all the same and are installed all the same. Just make sure you get a OEM Evo 8/9 Mitsu CMC and not some crap knockoff.

Magnus is the way to go. Uses the oem metal 8/9 cmc. Pita to install-really its just time consuming to install. It isnt complicated, just confined working spaces.

tried to get the aftermarket CMC under warranty and dealer said no, however they also told me the Slave Cylinder was leaking so they will replace both OEM then I can upgrade to the Evo 8/9 Part.

Why Mitsu never updated this part on the X? Recall or something. I mean isn't dangerous to be with no clutch in the middle of a turn.

Magnus and the MAP looked identical to me. I waited and waited for the magnus. Pm'd and sent a couple emails with no answer back. So I went with the MAP. In Pictures they looked pretty
identical anyways. And MAPS was cheaper. Uses same Evo 8/9 CMC.

Hmm, so the MAP kit is basically for people being proactive, right? Installing the kit (without the replacement CMC) will bring it up to spec of the other aftermarket kits?

Our kit is designed to use the Evo 8 & 9 form factor so you will need to purchase one of the two options for master cylinders that we have available.

We have been selling both options for quite some time, and there is not a discernible difference in failure rate between the two.
