fuel pump relay... i was told the new black ones are NOT correct

So on my 2011 Evo X I had some of the older black fuses. I replaced all the black relays with the *NEW* black relays... the MR122409 ones...

However, I am getting a lean condition and knock when boost comes on... I threw P1235 a few times... and my tuner says these relays are no good and i have to get a green or blue one???

Are you suppose to replace the larger black fuse that is located below the transparent green one?

Just replace the FPR relay one. Or you can buy a whole kit up to you. Here you go..

None of the dealers around here sell those for FPR, if that means anything. They all use the green ones

This whole relay thing gets confusing, and I know it shouldn't be. You have a 2013 right? Mine's a 2013 also, but I have green relays:

This is where I get confused at. You provided this document, which is also what I received with my relays from ssp.

But the TSB recognizes the relays needing to be replaced as:

A-22X (Throttle acuator control motor relay)
A-25X (Injector relay)
A-28X (Starter relay)
A-34X (MFI relay)

Now the A-34X (MFI relay) is the big gray relay correct? This one technically doesn't need to be changed out?

According to the TSB, the 3 that need to be changed out (besides the big gray one) are the 3 green ones in my picture. So which one of those 3 is the FPR relay? And why isn't it simply called that in the TSB?

Also, why does SSP send you 5 black relays, but only provide the TSB instructing you to change out 3?

And how come an evom user recognizes the FPR relay (sorry, FP relay) as the relay next to the two green ones? I guess relay A-27X?

And if that is the FPR, how come the TSB or SSP doesn't make mention to change that one as well?

Omron relays are what you should be running. The nais brand are older and known for blowing. Its not that hard to test your relays. Pull them out and do the salt shaker test. If it sounds like a salt shaker, then its bad.

Im not interested in testing mine. Just interested in replacing what might be a defective fuse/relay. Doing it as a preventive measure. I'm just curious as to why the tsb seems to be different then the information I am reading on this forum. Or so it seems unless I am reading something wrong?
