You really wont save weight but I have the AEM wideband, the gauge and sensor was easy to install only took about a couple hours. most of that time was getting the sensor into place int he downpipe. Personally i run the wideband, boost, oil pressure and water temp (yes 4 gauges but its just personal preference.)

As everyone has said go with the vitals.
Oil Pressure, AFR, and Boost.

No offense but imo that gauge pod is in a terrible location. I would rather have a piller pod

That center pod would be better if the gauges were angled towards the drivers side a bit instead of pointing straight ahead. Seems like it make the middle and far right ones tough to see at a glance while driving and trying to monitor them.

I'm working on lower, more matching version. Might make it attach to the side of the driver's gauge cluster and go along the dashboard. I have some prototypes around, just haven't had time to make a fully working one.

the thing about the failsafe is that it is also a boost controller, and on the X, you want your boost controller to be controlled by the ECU. Having said that, I'm sure it can be used as a stand alone gauge/AF meter. The price is great for it. I'm running the Greddy D/A multigauge for my boost and temps, and for AFR/datalogging I have a PLX wideband box with an analog signal ran to a Greddy Informeter touch.

If I had to do it again, or didn't get insane deals on the greddy stuff, I'd totally do an AEM combo gauge. Their widebands tend to read about 1 AFR rich, but that's no big deal really.
