anyone else have issues with a pillar fitting flush?

I had removed my a pillar awhile back when installing my homelink rear mirror and ever since, the a pillar never went back on right. I thought maybe I had messed up my a pillar so got another new one from a regular lancer and still fitment is crap. See photos. For awhile I just ignored it but now its bugging me again. Anyone else have this issue after removing the a pillar for the first time?

It's not on right. Take off the side of your dash. There is a panel there. You need to install the pillar first. There is also a clip toward the front. Look at the bottom closely. You have to somewhat wiggle it around in. Then the top will line up.

The bottom of yours is definitely off - the top of mine though sticks out a bit though, has been that way since I picked it up new a few months ago. Don't know how to fix it... tape?? ha ha

Me and a friend of mine spent who knows how long trying to get the bottom of the a pillar to go all the way into the clips on the dash there but sucker just wouldn't go down anymore. Interested in more info on removing "side dash". You talking just the black dash by the steering wheel or?

The two clips that hold that piece in place are different from each other. Any chance that you have them reversed?

This is a how-to for removing the a-pillar for installation of one with gauge pods... maybe this will help in taking it a part then properly re-installing?
