MAPerformance turbos are good turbos and customer service is good. The ef series are stock frame made from original MHI housings. What are your power goals?

Do the map turbos bolt up to the stock manifold?

Yes. The ef series are stock frame turbos. They also offer the option of upgrading your current turbo if you want to send it in.

When you upgrade your turbo, what else would you need to upgrade so that you get the full potential?

No reason to go that big for his 400-425 goals.

I say pick what your goal is...400 or 425? I've had both the EF2 and EF2.5; if you want closer to 400 get the EF2, if you'd rather be closer to 425 and willing to give up a bit of response and spool get the EF2.5.

I'm currently at 425whp/400wtq with the EF2.5 on stock cams and pump gas.

A stockframe GTX3071R would meet your power goals

Ok, this is probably a dumb/nnob question. It's not possible to twin turbo it? Keep the stock for the quicker spool and get a larger one for the additional power?

If nothing else, where would you put the second turbo? There's rather little room between the engine and the firewall.

Would the ef 2.5 be enough to meet my goals with almost everything stock?oh I have a 3port boost controller.I forgot to put that in my last post.I used to have a red in my evo 8 I loved that turbo.unfortunately the bearing died and the turbo touched down:(.
