Angry Stupid rust spots!

Damn mitsu paint! So I was washing my car the other day and looked closely at a few of the small paint chips and noticed it was rusting! Nothing to big but definitely corroded. Anyone know if this is covered under the anti-corrosion warranty (and by that I know if I breath on it wrong mitsu will void it). If not anyone have a cheap solution? Thanks! Pics soon!

Where? Most of our car where the paint chips happen is aluminum and that certainly doesn't rust.

I would venture that doesn't fall under anti-corrosion warranty as that's more related to chassis parts, but I am not an expert on that.

Its on the metal part that is near the windshield (having a brain fart can't remember what it's called) not the quarter panel, above that next to the windshield.

Although not certain, that probably is steel. Best you can do is ask, but I doubt that's warrantied.

you would need to remove the corrosion then get it touched up with paint. Since paint is the protection for the car as a barrier from what causes the oxidation.

Has your car ever been in a body shop before?? or a shop that does a lot of metal fabrication work? sometime workers become complacent when working with materials that throw sparks.. Welders, grinders etc....sometimes these hot burs land and melt to the metal surface of a vehicle creating small rust spots and pits on window surfaces..

This is a white paint issue that a lot of cars deal with. I've seen it extensively in the Volkswagen community.

My white mitsubishi has the same problem. When i took it into the body shop all they did was cut into it. buffed it down real well and it went away. More than likely it's not corroded all the way down to the metal, they just need to buffer down a few layers.
