There first offer was 30k. Their final offer after I fought them on the first one was 39k. Personnally im happy with that. Its about 3k short of what I owe but I can live with that. Will pay it all off at once then take a couple months to get a down payment saved then get a new one.

Wow, were you really low on the mileage? That is a deal. Even if they sold it without asking (depending on your states laws) I'd consider that appraisal enough of a gift to just let it go.

See and there is the thing. I live in Canada, I paid 47 grand for the car before finance interest. there is 43k left owing on it. The car only had 14500 km on it. Non the less I will be getting a new one soon. I honestly cant see me driving any other car.

Ahhhhh, didn't know you were in Canada. In the US a pristine 2011 GSR with all the options would be worth MAYBE 30k. My 2011 GSR with everything but nav was 35.5k new. I know you guys get boned on the purchase price in Canada

RIP. Insurance companies usually do a good job of giving you market, sometimes even above market value, for a total loss.

I would say I got lucky. my main house didn't get flooded during the big flood, my rental property did tho. then a couple weeks later is when we had a flash storm go through and flood about 7 cars just at my shop alone. All in all Im doing fine myself there are people in far worse shape then I am.

I just miss my car lol

That sucks.. Personally though, I would rather them right it off then have to battle with some flood related issues down the line. That is, if it were me in your situation.
