Keeping dust out of the Cabin
Keeping dust out of the Cabin
I recently went on a road trip with my new-to-me EVO. I quickly learned:
A: keep your windows closed when four wheel drifting on anything other than tarmac. [SAND EVERYWHERE!
]
B: the traction on gravel is AMAZING but, I found that if I had any of the windows slightly open dust would billow in from behind the glove compartment and the front door tweeters.
Has anybody had experience trying to seal these?
Sure I could learn my lesson from 'A' and close my damn windows but if I am going a long distance on a road less traveled having the windows down is nice.
[The trunk also gets super dusty from the vent in the trunk but that is easy to tape up.]

good to know. but i think it would be common sense not to keep windows open when there is any derby in the air. even with road construction i i close the windows the second i see the sign and im .5 miles past the construction
The thing is the air is fine as long as i don't come to a stop or somebody is coming the other direction. I do close my windows if there is stuff in the air. What i suspect is that even when the windows are closed some dust must still come in those spots just not as much.
