If they think you need a gtx turbo in order to reach 350whp then you should stay away. There are many evo owners making 400 on the stock turbo with bolt ons. I personally wouldn't trust them if they don't know this.

Oh brother just keeps getting better. You certainly do not need 10w-40 in the car to the tune of a 70 dollar oil change.

Still blows my mind on the pre-dyno inspection when they are installing all the bolt-ons prior to the tune.

I agree with steering far clear of this shop.

I'm at 350 whp (on a dynojet, numbers would be less on a mustang dyno). I have the following:
-Intake
-EBC
-IC
-UICP
-LICP
-Down pipe
-Test pipe
-Cat back Exhaust
-Tune (Open Source, Stock ECU)

All of these are "bolt-ons", have your thought about installing yourself? I would say everything is really straightforward and easy except for the down pipe, that's a PITA.

It will just be a mess around car..running around in the hills ect.

It was an 07 Gallardo. I was just getting tired of getting these exotics ( had a 360 Ferrari, 6.0 diablo, Ford GT and a few others) but just didnt drive them. I have a few old muscle cars now, ie, 70 Boss 302, z28 ect.. and a 88 M3, 86 16v 190 E Cosworth ect.. All fun cars but i wanted to get something i can beat on a bit without the worry of a 10k repair bill.

the ETS V2 quiet isn't all that quiet if you are concerned about the noise. I would recommend the Cobb dual/quad tip (your visual preference) cat back. It is by far the quietest cat back i've evver had, as well as having a nice deep rumble to it.

Yes, i can do the bolt on's myself, just busy with another car but winter is here so i wont be driving it much. The worst part, well one of the worst parts is the company that gave me the 2nd quote..3100.00 are the one's who recommended the shop to install there stuff. I'll look back through this as some of you have told me what your running to get to the 350hp. I'll be looking for a company that will sell me only what i need.

Yes, do not want a loud exhaust but one that still sounds good..Just something wrong with a guy my age blasting through the neighborhood...

For the money your willing to spend. Just send it to ETS/Buschur/AMS the usual good shops. Drive it there, send it via. truck and in a couple weeks you could pick up and be happy and confident it is right the first time. Dont screw around or youll end up spending more than you want to.
With my first evo I drove 4+ hours to Buschurs. Got there when they opened got a twin plate installed in 4-5 hours. Drove home and never had 1 problem. And the labor was around 400. Local dealer wanted over 800 and I bet I would of been back with problems.
A good mitsu shop will know these cars inside and out and will do it right.

I would say scrap injectors, fuel pump etc etc. Easy, streetable 350AWHP on a dyno jet? See my signature. Good luck with the build and keep us posted on the progress!

I like Road Race Engineering (RRE) breakdown for HP goals.

http://www.socalevo.net/threads/226970-RRE-recommended

I'm producing 327HP/326TQ WHP on Dyno Jet with these mods

-ETS V2 Quite Exhaust
-AMS HFC
-3 Port
-Cosworth Drop In Air Filter
-Tune from RRE

Reaching 350 shouldn't be difficult and way under 7K and 3K for that matter. It's all in the tuner as everyone has mention. I'll be adding intake, uicp, test pipe, and E85 next. That should hopefully put me near 400.

There must be an error in their quote. There is no way they're gonna charge you to recheck their work. I'd be shocked if that was the case.

That makes no sense what so ever.

in virginia we had two guys get brand new X's, put on an intake and a manual boost controller (and a tune) and made 305hp on a mustang dyno.
the most expensive thing you may purchase to get to 350hp, would be the tune

350 on what dyno? That makes a big difference. I just posted graphs from back to back dyno's. One on a dynojet, one on a mustang. Check it out: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-bult-ons.html

350 on a dynojet is doable safely on stock turbo and 93 octane. 350 on a mustang will require e85 conversion or an upgraded turbo. Note I also have some lightweight drivetrain components that I believe account for about 10 more hp to the wheels.
