Honestly I only got through half of your parts and price list. However $7k does seem kind of high for the hp you want. It really depends on the parts and the shop. I am running over 380 whp with all bolt on parts and 93 octane gas (I live in the SE so that's our high end from the pump). I did go with some decent parts. Some of which I was familiar with from previous cars and the person tuning was very familiar with these manufacturers. The fact the tuner knew and had worked with these parts on Evo's and other cars was key in my opinion.

My parts list:
AMS upper inter-cooler pipe
AMS cold air intake
AMS down-pipe
AMS high flow cat
Greddy RS titanium cat back exhaust
Perrin Pro Electronic Boost Control
Cobb tuning port

I bought most of the parts online and looked for deals and reviews. Then I did some research on the shop too. The one I chose had a history and good reputation of working on Evo's and other all wheel-drive cars. All total with labor and dyno time I came in under $5k.

Well not so sure how releveant this is but heres my list with costs, this only really works if you have access to e85 (i make 375whp/400tq)

Intake and uicp kit (injen) bought barely used for 350
1000cc injectors run about 400 450 got mine f
rom an wbay auction for 350, new
Dw65c fuel pump 150
3 port boost solenoid 100
Bov (optional, recommended for higher boost levels) 350
Race pipe / test pipe 150-300
Tune- depends, mine eas around 700 for a 91 map and e85 map
Cobb accessport- 400 (i chose this option, open source is less user friendly but a cheaper method)

All in all about 2500 to 3000, with install and tune for me. Car makes rediculous power for your dollar and is quiet because the stock exhaust, obviously you could invest in an exhaust as well and make upwards of 430whp/430 tq.

Again sorry if this is irrelevent, i know e85 isnt accessible for everyone as it is for me. The good thing is its really easy to switch it back to running on 91, i just hold a button down on my steering wheel and run the tank as low as possible then fill up with 91

I'm not so sure why everyone is dicking this man around. Honestly to get 350 wheel horsepower all it takes is a manual boost controller, a test pipe, and a tune. I mean on 91 octane I wouldn't expect the results to be much lower than on 93. I wasted tons of cash on bolt on parts I didn't even need honestly and my car makes 330/330 on STM's mustang dyno. I've recommended that mod list to other cars and they were within 10-15 hp of my full bolt on car. It shouldn't even cost you more than $1000 to get that amount of power.

Though I may completely agree with you regarding exhaust, tune, a manual boost controller is not needed. Boost can be tuned fine with what comes stock in the car. Again, just talk to a reputable tuner of Evo X's. You have probably got the understanding of how easy power can be made in these cars, now just start with an exhaust and tune with pill and see how you go, if you want more, tune E85 with injectors. Done

Thanks. You have full boltons and new injectors and pump to be safe. You didn't list it, but I assume that you have upper and lower IC piping? Thats a very safe way to make the power that you're making. Others will tell you that you can achieve it with half of those mods, but, the motor shop that I trust recommends exactly what you have to make 350wHP and similar torque on my MR without having to worry.

I did list the Upper intercooler pipe (UICP) lower does not give you any gains on the X. But even with all boltons, it should not be 7000$ lol. All those parts are quite easy to install.

A manual boost controller more than gets the job done. And I'm fairly sure my tuner is reputable considering STM holds quite a few records, and they'll add a few more next year in the Evo X scene with my car. A hallman is like $90 brand new. Well worth the money if you ask me. And it takes all of 20 minutes to install and dial in. Sounds like a great deal to me.

Though a manual boost controller is fast to set up, it has the limitations of the one setting, whereas if you use the one that comes with the car, it can tuned for different gears. Tune your boost to limit in first gear, dial it up for the rest. You can't do that with a manual boost controller. Anyway, I would prefer to use what comes with my car to benefit me as much as possible without changing parts. I still have warranty, and every service, I change the tune back to stock to keep it. When I get it back, I flash the tune back on. Manual boost controller can't allow that, and can possibly be used against you in a warranty claim( if still covered)
