Do i need to tune after this???
Do i need to tune after this???
I just got a tune and all with CAMs retainers springs, injectors, fuel pump etc.... i was told i could make more power if i got rid of my current down pipe and put an O2 dump on. My question is, if i install it my self do i need to go and get a retune after that> or since it part of the exhaust components will it matter? How much power can i expect with it??? i was thinking MAP or ETS.... any advice and knowledge would help.
It's possible you'd see a couple horsepower just from increased flow/decreased backpressure, but the tune will get the most out of it, possibly pushing 10HP on a stock turbo or more on a bigger turbo.
You will need a retune. The o2 elim dp threw my tune way off...rich enough is was belching black smoke
The post-tune gains were solid though!

Stock turbo, stock cams, and 93-octane pump gas.
