My mods are as follows:
ETS 3.5'' Intercooler with upper and lower piping
ETS Intake
GrimmSpeed EBC
ETS Recirculating DP
ETS Catted Testpipe (HFC)
Invidia q300 Catback Exhaust
ID1000cc injectors
DW65 Fuel Pump
ETS Turbosmart Dual port BOV (50/50)
On 93 Pump Gas
I just got the DP,HFC,Injectors,FP, and BOV installed last night. The Turbosmart BOV frustrates me. There is a lot of flutter shifting below 4.5k RPM's. I have tried loosening and tightening it all the way and had it in the middle as well. i'm going to get the softer spring. I believe this BOV can be set 3 ways. One being 50% atmospheric vent and 50% recirculating, another being 100% atmospheric vent, and the last being 100% recirculating. Right now I am set for the 50/50 setting, but I am thinking about fully recirculating with the softer spring to eliminate the constant fluttering when letting off of the throttle.
However, the bigger issue for me is that when going WOT my RPM's spike and jump from 4k to 8/9k (Redline) and I get a message on the dash saying Service ASC. This completely disables my traction control (Off/Off) and the only way that I have been able to get rid of the warning is to restart my car. Something definitely doesn't feel right. I noticed it when I first looked at the dyno log but the tuner said that it was normal. I'm having second thoughts...
Update: It feels like the SST is slipping when I get on it hard. Feels like the tranny wasn't tuned to handle that type of torque imo.

Looking at the picture of the dyno tune I don't understand how they even let you leave the shop with that tune. So much slipping!! If you want a good local tune for the SST get in contact with Kaizen Tuning in MA or one of the e-tuners who know the SST.
Do your clutches a favor and stop going WOT till you get a proper tune.

Sorry for asking a noob-type question, but how can you tell by looking at the dyno graph that the clutch is slipping? Thank you.

The jagged saw-toothed torque line, it should be a some what smooth line.Originally Posted by acm_evo

I thought so. Thank you for confirming...Originally Posted by khaydin

Thanks guys. I wasn't sure at first, but by driving it today, I definitely can confirm that the clutches are slipping. I will be driving very conservatively until I get this problem resolved.
Just got off the phone with Sean Ivey. He told me that if the clutch is slipping, which I think it is, a tune wouldn't be able to fix it. I believe that I am overboosting as well. I get a message saying that the ASC is disabled when pushing the car and the only way that I have gotten it to go away is by restarting. Above 30psi on the SST, this happens apparently to protect the car. I assume a proper tune would fix my issues, since it was a tune that caused them. Going from 250wtq to 353 may have been too much of a hike. I'm getting a bit worried.

So you think the clutches are slipping because it can't handle the hp numbers? Or you think it's because they are worn?Originally Posted by Masheen

its going over 30 psi thats your prob I have an se with just a cobb and tb and every once in a while if its cool out it does what yours is doing, and then i started watching the boost gauge and sure enough as soon as it hit 30psi the tranny just slips and you get the asc light

Shouldn't the protune with the GrimmSpeed EBC eliminate the over-boosting?Originally Posted by chunkymr
