And it varies if you parked pointing uphill or downhill until it recalculates. It is not a precision measuring device

I've only had my car for a few weeks and I fully agree. I feel like I'm at the gas station all the time. When the blinking starts on the dash it drives me crazy! It's all my eyes will focus on!!!

Got my car about a month ago now, and I must say I didn't expect to be at the gas station this much. It is a big jump coming from a standard economy car that got like 30 miles per gallon. My last tank of gas I averaged 15 mpg ( my own calculations not the meter on the car ) Still throttle happy (:

I get 220 miles on mine before refuel. If I drive slow and never get in to it then I have got 260 max before the last blue bar . Why would you wait to see how long you can go before getting fuel? That is a HUGE no no in a turbo car. Not worth the risk of damage and it is not going to save money because you have to fill it up anyways.

After the first light came on, I filled up 5 minutes later and put in 12.08 gallons of premium. I usually fill up at 1/2 a tank so this thread is good info for the just in case situation. The evo's gas mileage pretty much sucks but I don't care! lol

the X will go pretty far after 0. i know. i've run out twice. my car is fine. when the gauge reads 0 you have about 1.5 gallons (including fuel in the lines). and I disagree that the Evo gets bad gas mileage. It'll get 24 city and 35 highway if you draft Fed-Ex trucks.

This guy at work asked me how my gas mileage was. I told him and he laughed. Then he said to me I only get gas every 2 months ( has a Prius ) . Then I said to him so that's why you don't have a girlfriend hahaha lmao

more power, more miles

1.5 gallons after no more blue bar is safe. 2 is iffy.

Not sure what you're getting for MPG but I typically fill up after I use around 10 gallons. I am paranoid about running out of gas (stupid with 4 gallons I know) but just filling up my tank after 10 keeps the crazy at bay

It's rare that I get below a 1/2 tank of gas. I like to keep the gas tank full. It can be a pain being such a regular visitor to the gas station, but that's what I do.

I've never let the tank get so low that the gas light came on.

I went 212 miles on full tank before refuel light came on. I got gas almost immediately after seeing it and put in 10.5 gallons.

I didn't get the car for fuel economy though and I don't put on a lot of miles on an average day, so it's all good. ('cept for the NY gas prices)
