Unfortunately, you're complaining about the #1 and #2 Mitsubishi dealer in the country (Mission Mitsubishi and West Loop).

They're always the ones beating us for the top slot in the country. The odds they're going to do anything about it are slim to none.

Well you are half right. The main issues I had with my Eclipse warranty work was actually done at Gillman San Antonio. I finally convinced Mitsu corporate to let me take the car to a different dealership (Which was not an easy task), and that was Mission Mitsubishi.

Mission did a decent job and appeared to be more competent than Gillman. But Mission was the dealer that "could not duplicate" the issue I was having with the top. According to Mission, Mitsu corporate wouldn't let them do anything unless the problem happened in front of them. The problem didn't happen all the time, thats why I would take video's of it acting up. But Mitsu wanted me to drive over to Mission, and keep going over there until Mission was able to witness it in person.

What was annoying is that I have video of the top acting up while at Gillman. But now since I was no longer dealing with Gillman, I guess the video didn't count when it came to Mission?

I did have an issue with West Loop when I bought my Evo. They sold me a 3rd party warranty that I didn't agree to. After looking into dealership reviews, I found others complaining about that same practice. But their service department has been good so far.

But you are right, Mitsu Corporate wont, and have not done anything about these dealerships. This is why I say Mitsu Corporate is just as bad as the dealerships. If you don't do anything about these dealerships behavior, then IMO you are just condoning it and letting people know you find it acceptable.

And sad thing is, I have bought new Mitsu cars from all 3 of these dealerships.

-Bought my first Eclipse spyder from Mission
-Bought my 2nd Eclipse spyder from West Loop
-Bought my Outlander Sport from Gillman
-Bought my 2012 Evo from West Loop

The mitsu dealer here in shreveport (ORR) dont even sell evos. The last one they sold was in 2007. Im really leary of taking my MR there. They do an oil change for me. I had my tires rotated about 5Kmiles ago and one of the studs on my wheel was broken... They fixed it "under warranty" but now my tires are all cupped and the L front is bald on the inside. Needless to say they screwed up my alignment. They dont even do alignmentat at that dealership. Like you, Im really tempted to go back to Don Herring where I bought my MR. 250 miles.

For are area, I really think Don Herring is the best bet. Obviously those guys sell a good amount of Evo's and I'm sure they are more than competent when it comes to working on them.

The Evo I have now I also bought at Don Herring. No where else in Texas had the options I wanted and no one could beat them on the price.

That's pretty typical. Stores are either Eve stores or they aren't. It's like that in most major metro areas with more than 1 Mitsu dealer. In TX, I hear Don Herring is the **** if you need work on an Evo.

That's how it is here in Minnesota. The dealer I work for is this the only 1 of the 3 that has a clue how to sell them and service them. One of the dealers doesn't even stock them.

A friend who lives closer to one of the other dealers called me because that dealer told him they wouldn't do a CMC recall on a Saturday. They said it took them upwards of 6 hour and because it was busy they didn't want to tie up a mechanic for most of their day. I told Dan, my master mechanic in the shop, this and he laughed. Then told me it takes about an hour an a 1/2.
