That intake will only fit the GSR. I just checked the K&N site and they do not list one for an MR only GSR. From what you described there is obliviously something different where this would mount in the MR. I'm sure there is something you could do to "make it work", but we all know how backyard "engineering" can go. I'd Return it and go with a drop in filter.

I agree with the above and will add that those of you in hot places with lots of traffic, such as Vegas, really ought to run full boxes (e.g., OE with drop-in or AEM).

P.M. Richard Dean Anderson. He's pretty clever and might be able to figure something out.

Hi youi11, Just got your message.

I ended up not using the bracket. I've put about 4k on the car (road trip) since installing the CAI and haven't had any problems.

However, it still bothers me that it's not bolted down, so I'm planning to either anchor the pipe to the heat shield or making a custom bracket.

Hope this helps.

Don't forget to retune!

Custom shop, custom bracket, nothing fancy about a bracket.

Frankly, this is the solution... I can hardly remember a time when we didn't need to weld some sort of bracket for the car.
