I've always heard that the test pipe has the greatest gains, a O2 down pipe only gains 5-10 whp and is a pain to install, where as the test pipe can gain 15-20 and is 4 bolts. Just replacing the down pipe and not the O2 housing has been shown to not have any gains

if you're running stock turbo theres no point on getting an aftermarket downpipe, you get no gains from it....i suggest get the test pipe and like the other members said you get around 10-15hp for just 4 bolts and around 150-200$

^+1 DP yields negligible gains. Get a TP. I'm pushing 340/350 with a TP, CBE, Intake and UICP.

Any brands in particular that anybodies had a good experience with? Asking because I see price variances from $160 for like a DC sports TP to 325 for a cobb TP.

I currently run the ETS TP, which has the OEM style bend. It's a bit pricy, but for the quality, it's worth it.

I'm jealous of all the members here that don't have to put up with annual emissions testing.

Hoping the HFC will pass in New York since I will be looking to upgrade the exhaust system within a year or so.

haha, No i hear ya. I have to over here in the Chicago land area. But, for the most part, as long as you don't tip off a sensor you'll be alright.

I've read about a few instances where some people who through on their TP had issues with how their car ran because they didn't get it tuned afterwards. I've read where people say you don't need to with just a TP, but i'm the type that things better be safe than sorry... anyone care to share their opinion?
