Springs

Whats the average life of springs. I have eibach pros now for around 6-7k miles. They've become so stiff. Probably a stupid question, but is it time to replace them. If so, eibachs?

I agree that it has zero to do with the springs changing their rate, but would suspect the shocks more than the tires. It's been Mr Bigglesworth cold lately. Some shocks don't like that.

Of corse my dumbass bought another pair of springs due to my lack of patience. Great responses though. Thanks. I did change my tires and installed some ridiculous low profiles recently, has to be that. So im gonna return the springs and invest in some better tires. Dont think my shocks are to blame as the car just reached 14k this month

Springs should last tens of thousands of miles I would think.

Bing bing bing! Sidewalls are your (driving comfort) friend. You should try riding in an X with OE springs, MR Billies, and 215/65/15 snow tires.

Odds are, the shocks lost compression damping and that's what made you think that the springs got softer. If springs actually lose rate, the first thing that you notice is that the car is lower.

The way to put 15" wheels on an X is to get rally (gravel) brakes.
