Sure, but go get a professional tune if you do more modding than just an intake. The off the shelf maps aren't great. You'll take advantage of your mods a lot more with a real tune.

Cobb has pretty much switched off all their OTS maps for COBB products only. Like 2 years ago, they did the OTS maps for other intakes and what not. Get a protune, OTS maps are... well OTS maps.

A protune is always worth it. You'll get much more from your mods with one than with an OTS map. I used OTS cobb maps when I had an ETS intake and UICP. I got my catback and test pipe installed, then got it pro tuned. For your mods, OTS map would work, but if you want to get the most from them, get a protune.

Cobb has ETS maf calibrations in there intake calibration guide. The OTS maps are nice to use while you add all your mods. Once your done adding mods get a protune.

side question:

can you store your protune map on Cobb AP? Basically saving a map for every piece you add.

right now I'm trying to get an intake with my exhaust and read ETS doesn't require a tune. Run the OTS map while saving the tune money after more pieces get added.

I dont know and if you can but that wound save me **** loads of time and $$$:-)...thats why im go with ETS(plus already have the uicp and licp from ETS), no tune needed since it is stock MAF, and i dont really have a place to tune aroung here, will have to drive to AMS or who knows, but looking at Cobb web they dont show maps for ETS intake, im just gono get my parts and tune all at once i guess..i should've bought Prius instead..hahah :-)

If you need an accessport map let me know. The guys over at Cobb have the tunes configured for our parts, they are just not up on the site. I can forward you to the Cobb team who can get you the map.

Thanks!

Michael

Michael, I have cbe, Ets uicp, cobb ap v3, also have Ets intake uninstalled due to unsupported OTS maps. Based on my mod list, is it beneficial to install the intake? Currently running cosworth panel.

Yes, the intake will be beneficial.

Mitch from Cobb said if anyone wants a calibration file for there ETS intake. To drop him an email.

Mitch.Mckee@cobbtuning.com

He's working on getting the maps up on the site, but he can handle sending over the configuration before it's available.

Thanks!

Michael

Yes, you can store a protune on your AP. Lots of people do. The alternate way to store a tune would be using software and a laptop. I personally have my car pro tuned with my Cobb AP, since I like the small form factor.

I wouldn't get a new map for every mod. A pro tune usually costs around $500 for the first, and $200-$300 for every re-tune. Adding something like an intake that utilizes the stock manifold isn't going to justify a re-tune in most cases.

Here is the link for your ETS intake MAF scaling. You have to do a little work but nothing major. Just download Cobb's Access Tuner Race program for free and change the MAF scaling for your ETS intake.
