You think that's bad op?? Lol look at my damaged rim thread.

 

tape off area around it
sand with 80 grit
degrease
fill with bondo or your favorite body filler
sand with 180
refinish paint as usual

alternate/easier method:
tape off non damaged area
wet sand with 180 grit
spray area with color matched wheel paint

 

i have patched this scratch with a cheap solution till i repaint it

i have used a pair of permanent markers




This is how it looks like after using the markers





This is after one wash with soap, it looks little bit worn, but over all its good
