Best way to wash the engine bay?
I prefer high temp grease. It has the lasting power.
Those long reach micro fiber wands are awesome for the shiney surfaces. Meguiar's is pricey, but worth it. I have the injen CAI and UICP, the finish is to die for.

For all my car cleaning needs I use FW1 products. For the engine bay I use a combination of their FW1 Wax and their GP3 general purpose cleaner. I highly recommend FW1 products, they're a little procey but well worth it.

^^ you don't let it cool? At the car wash then rinse with cold water and drive it? Maybe im just cautious but didn't think spraying cold water everywhere into a hot engine bay is a good idea, thermal dynamics and all. idk.
Here are the results from the cleaning session a couple days ago, keep in mind this is a 15 year old Evo V with ~125,000km's on it.

I live really close to the car wash. Not to mention right now it's winter time (-20c), so car doesn't get warm. Everything is still cool to the touch by the time I get there.

I can just use all this drool for washing the engine bay. Evo V is the sexy maker.
