thanks guys, I'm enjoying it even though I've only be able to drive it a few times. Just purchased some Rally Armor mud flaps last night for it to combat the snow we're gonna have for the next 3 months in Ohio

It was really good, salesman I went with wasn't pushy or over the top. I did my research for a month or two. I knew what a fair price was, like most they want you to pay a lot more. But it wasn't bad considering they found out I knew what I was talking about so they just kinda settled for a price I was happy with after a bit of negotiations.

Nah we're done with the heavy snow. Not gonna spend 700 bucks for tires I'll use for the next 2 months. Rather put that towards an Exhaust

You put the snow tires away for next year when done with them this season? This saves you from crashing your nice new car in the next two months because you didn't want to spend money on a necessity and instead bought a luxury.

Your decision matrix sucks.

You literally CANNOT stop with summer tires on in the winter. You know this, living in a winter climate and all.

Please explain how saving a couple hundred now on a 30+ thousand dollar car makes sense?

Pretty sure snow tires aren't a necessity. I'd buy them if this was the only car I could drive. So I just explained how saving a couple hundred now on my car makes sense for you.

The car comes with summer tires, saying they aren't a necessity with 2 months of winter left is absurd. But that's cool if you have a second car, just trying to help you and look out for you. There are COUNTLESS threads of people running summer tires on these cars and Subaru's that end up ruining their cars because they decided not to get snow tires when they should have. <shrug>

Enjoy the car, like I said, was just trying to help.

^I agree with this, if you don't want to fork over the money for brand new winter tires you can hit up Evo Dave at brandusedtires and get a set of blizzaks with 80-90% life left for a fraction of the price. He is off brookpark road just down the street from metro toyota/lexus

But please seriously consider getting snow tires, it isn't worth getting into an accident with your brand new Evo.

Best of luck man!! And congrats on the Evo!!!!!
