Nah, I'm using an MXP shorty DP. But when I do get more mods, I'll be all over the o2 dump.

Quick question and sorry for the hijack/ necro bump but would the O2 dump make a big difference with stock turbo and added cams.

I skipped on the down pipe. Not worth the money vs the power gains.

I've heard that the ams downpipe will make your exhaust louder. Will the ets? I feel my ultimate racing catback/testpipe isn't loud enough

I have the AMS widemouth DP, high flow cat and single race exhaust and I love the sound. When I first put the DP on I instantly felt faster spool and strong flow. I think it just comes down to personal preference which brand you go with. I like to keep everything as one brand as much as possible because it looks cleaner imo and you know everything will match up perfectly and run right because that's how the company tested them. Both companies are great and stand behind their product so either way you can't go wrong, but the noise of the open dump probably will get annoying after awhile, again imo.

Do you still have the ets down pipe and how much would you want for it?

In terms of the sound factor, does changing just the downpipe to for example the ETS downpipe and leaving the stock midpipe/catback make a huge difference in how loud the car is? I dont like how quiet the stock exhaust is, however I do not want something extremely loud. Any input would be appreciate.

The downpipe alone won't increase noise enough to notice.. I'd do a downpipe and testpipe together.

The best exhaust on a turbo car is no exhaust. Everything else is a compromise. The turbo itself provides significant back pressure as it is. I have a dump my self and I love scaring pedestrians with it.

i can tell you this will be one of my last mod.. I currently have ets intake, ets uicp, ets licp, ams high flow cat, hks hi power exhaust.. And don't plan to go bigger turbo, built motor, or anything crazy like that.. Maybe an intercooler later on..

so basically would the extra money and extra noise from the open dump dp be better for my setup or would the ams produce around the same power without the wot noise?

thank you guys..

The dump will eliminate any fear of Boost Creep and makes the exhaust more efficient as the dumped exhaust doesn't interfere with the exhaust flow. It's miniscule at best however so you have to ask if you like the dump sound or not.
