Install ForcewerkzVoltex Style Lip
Install difficulty: 7/10
Product quality: 7/10(polyurethane lip)
Fitment: 4/10
Install time: 2 hours
Materials needed: ¼ drill bit, battery drill, flat and Phillipshead screw drivers, thread lock nut screws, and teflon pop rivets
Right outof the box this lip comes almost ready to be put directly on but the downfallis the material causes it to warp some. Easy fix though, just leave the lip andsplitter laying flat on the floor for a day or so and it should regain itsform. My lip and splitter was a little scuffed out of the box I imagine due tothe way it was packaged but because my lip is being painted and had to beprepped anyways, it’s not that big of a deal. If you aren’t planning onpainting your lip I would advise just trying to wipe it down with a wet cloth.
The lipcomes pre stamped where the holes to attach it should go but the holes are notpre drilled. It also come with self-tapping screws that can be used attach thelip but I personally am using thread lock screws to attach the sides and Teflon pop rivets to do thefront parts. The reason I am using a pop style rivet vs the self tapping screwsis because it allows more flex in the bumper when there’s is a change intemperature and creates less of a chance of causing stress cracks in the paint. The sturdiest way to attach this lip to your front bumper is by setting the lipon your front bumper and making sure it sits flush in the corners and acrossthe front where it lays in the grill. I actually had to trim some off of thelip because the piece was a little too long a wasn’t sitting flush. Once youget the lip set flush, mark your holes to be drilled. 2 holes on the side whereIt connects inside the fender liner and 3 hole across the front on the top sideof the lip (1 in each side corner and 1 in the middle). Mine didn’t require anyconnections on the bottom side. You have a total of 7 holes so you will need 3pop rivets and 4 thread lock screws with nuts.
You mayhave to drop your front skid plate in order to get the nuts on the lock screw sthat are in the fender liners but the good thing is that it’s a 3 piece skidplate so you only have to drop the side panels. Pop your 3 rivets across thetop side in the middle of the lip and you’re done. Your lip should be mountedsturdily and you still have the option to take it off if it doesn’t suit youwith minimal damage.
I didnot install the splitter to the lip because the fitment was nowhere near correct.I imagine that if you shaved it down enough you could make it fit but customfabrication is definitely needed.
Eventhough this application took a little fabrication to make it work I am verypleased with the products quality and the flexibility of the polyurethane. It definitelygave me the clean and unique look I was trying to achieve. HUGE shout out theForcewerkz for the hookup on the parts and I hope to work with you guys againin the future!

That's not even your car. Why not post a picture of your car and a close up of the lip so people can judge the fitment. So from your instagram, you won a Forcewerkz contest where they give you the lip for free and you have to post a review on the forum. But you have a Chargespeed Evo X front bumper and so you weren't able to install the lip. So you took Archiebabe's photo, painted the front license plate, so it appears like you installed it on your car.
