We have removed the door panels and cut out the internal crash beams (car has a full FIA cage). Much lighter, I think the total for the crash bars (all 4) was 16 lbs, and the door panels, I can't remember.

i would never change the front doors from factory, period. Safety has to be come first. I would def. go for a trunk. We did a same on the rear doors. they are extremely flexible now ..lol but def. very light .

If you show car then hood is worthy , but if you race i think is not a big move. CF fades due engine heat and hard to fix vs the stock hood.
If you do race , really the rear and deppends on the race you do, doors are the one i would consider.
If you really all about show , then you can even build a full CF Evo. Its been done before
its all about your taste

This. I am a noob when it comes to performance cars but why do people take so lightly of removing crash beams and other safety features to save a bit of weight.

You would only do this if the car is fully caged.

If you race, depending on the sanctioning body, you need to check the rules. In a crash, a CF hood can break apart.

I see. Are full cages that much lighter than the OEM supports?
