It all depends on how how much sound you want.. You def do not need a downpipe right now.

The first link you posted is quite loud. I find a lot of people sell their ETS regular exhausts and end up going for the V2 Quiet exhaust as it doesn't drone on highway rides and sounds awesome on wide open throttle.

Neither.

Cat back will only help a little bit, other than change the sound of your exhaust. It's by no means the best bang for your buck if you want power.

And the car was designed well for it's stock turbo. Meaning the intercooler and down pipe to a very good job of handling the amount of air flow intended for the stock turbo. There's not much reason to change either until you change turbos.

Best bang for your buck is to delete the cat (test pipe if allowed where you live), boost controller, and e85 if you have it where you live. Dollars to HP you won't getting more power for cheaper than with e85.

Install the test pipe then get a tune. Ask your tuner what to do next. IMO the next thing to do is upgrade the turbo to a larger stock frame turbo (FP green, BBX, MHI, etc.). If you just want more noise from the car then get an intake.

The intercooler is worth around 15whp in 3.5" form on the stock turbo and the 4.0" around 22whp. The factory intercooler is undersized for the stock turbocharger. Also with the increase in boost pressure and moving the turbocharger out of it's efficiency range the intake temps are much higher and the bar and plate intercooler does a much better job at keeping the intake temps lower. The recover rate between pulls is also much faster with our intercooler compared to the factory intercooler.

The best bang for the buck mods on the Evo X is the intake/boost controller, upper pipe, test pipe and intercooler in my experience. Of course a tune as well

If you need any help let me know.

We have full bolt on packages you can get from us or our vendors.

http://www.extremeturbosystems.com/E...Package-1.html

and

http://www.extremeturbosystems.com/E...Package-2.html

After both packages are installed... All you need is a tune and your own your way to 360+ whp.

Most power for a same price or even cheaper as a quality cat back would be : get rid of the stock cat
and get a new panel filter + appropriate tune.

I went with the ETS Quiet Catback, High Flow Cats and Cold Air Intake. I also have a 4" inch intercooler with hard pipes. To me, that's all I need in terms of power because the car is my daily driver. I'm not about to waste 5 figures on aftermarket parts because the car would be pointless to drive afterwards. You can't go wrong with ETS or AMS. Make sure you get a tune regardless of your mods. Tunes are the best investments.

michael can you run your intercooler without a tune? or does it effect the tune too much that your car should be re-tuned when one of your intercooler is installed?
