Rexpeed Parts

Hey guys I'm thinking of getting a painted vg and CW bonnet for my evo. I decided to go with Rexpeed since I like that they paint the parts. Im just not a big fan of carbon fiber. I know that rexpeed is known to have minor fitment issues so this is my one big concern. I saw that their VG pictures are on the older evos, with the really long antennas. I know on my 14 its a short antenna. And on their website it says to make sure the base of the antenna measure 5x6 cm. It looks like mine is measuring around 5 cm (width) by about 8cm in length. I was wondering if anyone has gotten these VG to work on their 14's? It seems that the lenth (front to back of the car) shouldnt matter but more so the width. Anyone have any advise or personal experience? Thanks.

I have vg for both evo 9 and 10 from rexpeed. The 9 fit perfect but 10 had really BIG gap. And no way I can sell it when others ask me for pics. ... Also have rexpeed front lip for 10, that one fits ok.

Cool thanks guys, the only thing im still wondering is if the distance from the bottom of the antenna to the glass is the same. Does anyone have those dimensions or might be able to measure it?

I have several Rexpeed parts. The VG fits my X perfectly. Only the steering wheel overlay didn't fit perfectly. And if you have any questions they get back to you in a day or so.

Gotta agree, Derek will take care of you if you have any issues. I wouldn't worry about ordering from Rexpeed.

I just received my Vortex Gen. two days ago for my 2014 GSR X. Fitment was absolutely horrible and required using a drill to shave the hole so it could fit around the antenna. Once i did that then it fit just fine. But i wish it came pre fitted. but sorry.. your looking at modifications and 8hrs overnight of placing 10pound weights on the sides of the vortex once installed so it doesn't lift up when speeding over 100mph.

many many many people on here said they lost their vortex gen from rexpeed on the highway because the corners lift up. So place weights over night (8hrs) on the sides after the install and make sure their is no rain. DO NOT USE THE TAPE THEY PROVIDE! seriously. Go to home depot and get some 3m tape. get the $15 tape that's in the red package in the paint isle. it's double sided tape. That **** holds strong and i used it on mine. Works perfect. Good luck on the shaving bro. remember to shave and fit then shave and test fit and again. again, again. Take your time. otherwise you will over shave around the antenna and it will look like crap once installed. GL.

overall Ive had good luck with them through the years. One part before came with poopy fitment but Derek to care of me asap. The VG hole is a bit smaller than the antenna hole and I had to sand mine out a bit as well but other then that its fit perfect.

Yeah only fitment I've had with them is the crown cover and the steering wheel overlay. Besides that everything else fit great.
