Evo X OEM/Duraflex Bumper Comparison
Evo X OEM/Duraflex Bumper Comparison
Hey guys, so i've bought a used Evo X recently, the seller said a "storm came through and ripped the bumper". I'm calling shennanigans, but anyway, the front bumper is all screwed up on the driver side, and i'm not so sure that a body shop will be able to fix it. So I'm looking to buy a new front bumper Cover which is incredibly expensive from Mits. I was wondering if I were to purchase the "Duraflex Look Front Bumper" if it would look good. I have no other "Body Kit" pieces on the car.

lol they crashed into something
anyways, yeah that is fixable, as in, I could fix it. But I do bodywork so I don't have to pay myself. But even in materials you're looking at a few hundred bucks, and 8-10 hours labor.
Duraflex is basically a urethane infused fiberglass. It's decent quality for the money. The vendor Extreme Dimensions on here can hook you up too I'm sure. Or if you want to go all out, VIS makes a complete front end in carbon.

I had once purchased an EVO X look rear bumper after a semi truck tire rolled into my car. The only thing i suggest is to have a body shop or body person install. The mounting points were very flimsy and lacking compared to OEM. The body shop had to mold extra mounts to better secure it, and had to reinforce existing mount points. Other than that, it looks great, no gaps or imperfections, and feels solid (again, the body shop made it so). My bumper cost me about $400, plus $1400 to have it prepped, painted and installed.

or you can be like me and wait for people to sell there front and rear bumbers and buy cheap.. I always had bad experience when it comes to insurance companys paying to fix my cars so i usually buy front and rear bumper so i don't have to worry about them using cheap non OEM parts..
