Oem Ralliart Flutted Lugs

Anyone have these/know why the cost $145? I realize they have a locking nut and I'm sure that adds to the cost.

Realized today that I am supposed to have them via my window sticker, but I guess they didn't get swapped out for the stock ones before I took delivery. I guess I'm going to make a trip and pick them up, I see online they have "Ralliart" stamped on them, I was kind of hoping they would say "Evolution"...

Don't even bother with them. If you want to change your tires or wheels, no one will do it because they don't have the correct "Tool" to take them off with. They are afraid of rounding the edges with a regular socket.

I have the chrome Ralliart lug nuts. Had them for four years. Took the car to several true rotation and tire replacements shops. Never had any issues when it came to removing the wheels.

You do realize the socket is in trunk right?

Yeah that wasn't really a concern, I mean it says right on the sticker the tool is included.

I still haven't went back to pick them up yet, this is not one of those things I'm dying to have.

Standard socket fits the fluted lugs.

That's exactly what I was getting at. Look, I had to go to 2 different places to get my wheels taken off to have my snows put on because I was refused once because of the fluted luggs. They "never seen them before and didn't have the right tool to take them off" I tried explaining a standard socket would do the trick, but no "they won't hold up when we retourque them and the edges will round". So off on a hunt for someone who would do it I went. Finally found someone that would do it, but I had to sign a waver.... and same thing happened again when I had the summer tires put one. More trouble than they are worth.

You paid for them you should pick them up. If you don't like them or are concerned about "rounding" sell them and buy some beer.

I'm definitely going to get them, just not in any hurry and going to wait until my free oil change to make the long drive.

I know how to remove lug nuts, fluted or otherwise. Just think they look kind of lame with "Ralliart" stamped on them that's all. I was hoping there was something special about them that would be worth driving right out after them...
