I have a Cobb Accessport and I have a custom map on it that my tuner put on there. I have added a few aftermarket parts to my car so I'm getting it retuned tomorrow. My tuner asked if i want it tuned on my accessport or not. What are the perks of this and also the downsides?

L you already spent $500 on the AP plus you can have multiple maps on the device so I say go with the AP. the downside would be the ability to self tune which you could do with a tactrix if you know what you're doing.

well the AP came with the car when i bought it and I can always sell it. I ended up doing an open source tune since it is a better tune also.

Aren't pro tunes on APs just as good as open source?

If you are talking about the OTS maps, yeah Open Source is worlds better but pro tune vs Open Source should be a toss up. Just need to find out what your tuner is more comfortable tuning with.
