Front bumper side tabs..

So I don't know how many times I've taken my front bumper out and notice that I've broken both side of the tabs that hold the bumper up, the ones that are held up by screws. They have not completely come apart yet just cracked. Anyone find a good solution to them with using those hideous bumper attachments that involves the rubber band look? There's has to be a way to fix them or make them more sturdy.
