HELP: Changing valve springs

Im looking to change my valve springs and am completely stumped on getting them out. I know that the keepers need to come out first but just cant get them. Tried compressing the valvesprings and catching them with a magnet but wasnt working for me. The head is in the car. Havent found any DIYs for the X. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
