wait...walk off the lot a few times. take your time, don't rush the buying process. set your price and don't budge. if you want 39 tell them your really want the car but that's all you can do. don't be afraid of ending negotiations, buy politely saying " I think we are done for today"

most important, be nice!


also if your close, try adding some dealer installed options, they get a pretty sweet deal on them so you can help balance you the last bit of monies in your favor by insisting on some things. they likey wont break a deal on 500-1000 dollars in options you would like to have.

The majority of people don't realize how many ways dealers squeeze extra dollars out of them and therefore walk onto lots unprepared.
