Sorry everyone, Im new to the forums but I need help for buying a vortex generator
I know SSS stands for sight spoiler sound, but im confused because I have a 2014 evo x mr with the sight and sound package but i dont think i have the spoiler part because i only have the small trunk lip: http://gyazo.com/3c989ef8821994949bfe634b931c71e8

So I was wondering if anyone can tell me what I have specifically when ordering a vortex generator

It shouldn't matter. Vortex generator is mounted on the roof below the antenna.

 

I could be wrong but I think only the GSR version has the sss package as an upgrade I think the MR automaticly comes with this stuff.

From what I can find it uses the same one as the base GSR.

 

What you need to find out is if you have a sunroof or not. I believe the ones with sunroofs don't have the raised roof lines (IDK what they are called) and if you don't have a sunroof they have them. Some VG's go over the antenna BTW.

 

it does matter I think with a rexpeed VG.

the sun roof is a "flat roof" option. and the Nav. has a different antenna base. the bigger one is one with a Nav. option.

I have a Navigation option and I needed a bigger antenna base with a flat roof option too, since I have a sun roof.

 

It does matter, what you need to know is what kind of radio you have. Nav system or Evo with Sirius capable radios, the atennas have a bigger base than normal.

 

so both factors people have touched on here...
1 is if you have a sunroof then you have a flat roof
2 is if you have navi/satelite then you have the bigger antenna base...Rexpeed makes one for each configuration we can have.

 

so to get this right, if i have the xm radio or whatever but no sunroof i would need the one with the bigger antenna base and the one with the bumps then?

 

I have a MR package minus the RF system/sunroof. I got a SSS APR V.G and it fits, there's just a tiny little square gap under the non-RF antenna. No one noticed it once in the years I've had it on.

 

You are correct.

 

1) It doesn't matter because they're mounted to the top of your car, not the spoiler.
2) It still doesn't matter which ones you order. They're just for aesthetics, unless you really had someone design them for your car to direct airflow more directly to the spoiler.
3) It really doesn't matter because you have an MR, and don't have a spoiler to direct more airflow to.

 

I'm trying to figure out my roof. Since MAP has multi-vortex parts.

Isn't SSS Sun Sight And Sound. Car never came with sub in the trunk if it did it was taken out, and the car had an after market android radio. And I sure don't have a sunroof as you can see lol
