Help picking insurance
OK guys lol this is a good one. So I had Geico and was happy with it but got a letter in the mail saying they do not cover race cars or cars prepped for racing. Sooooo now I need a new insurance company lol. Help a brotha out and throw some suggestions my way with how much the monthly payment is.

What makes your car a "race car" or "prepped for racing"? Looking quickly through your signature, it doesn't appear to be either, but further more why does your insurance company know about these things? Is your car a track only vehicle, daily driver, show car etc?
Your not giving folks much information to go on here, but Ill offer what I can. Your best bet is to get a copy of your policy and read it cover to cover, whether it be your policy which is being canceled or any future policy. This will answer any questions you may have about on track coverage, what they will cover as far as aftermarket parts, what they consider insured uses for the vehicle etc. This eliminates the potential for them to drop coverage like it appears they did to you.
For example; my policy covers on track incidents so long as the vehicle is not being used for competitive racing (IE you crash at an HPDE, your covered, crash at a skid pad session, covered, crash at an open test and tune, covered). If I had sent my insurance company an email or called asking "will you cover me if I'm on track" the likely response would have been no, and now they have a leg to stand on as far as denying a claim or pulling coverage. The same goes for aftermarket parts; if I said I have fixed back seats, 6 points, coil overs etc. can you cover these, your handing them the opportunity to deny coverage and or drop the policy. Having read my policy, I know that I have full replacement on aftermarket parts up to X value if I can produce the receipts; no need for them to know what I have done to my Evo's and no need for me to worry about my coverage.
Depending on why exactly there dropping your coverage, you may have a pretty good chance at challenging their decision and getting them to maintain coverage.

I've gotten responses of that my car costed $80k and I had the top of the line Lancer(I have a RA), so some insurance companies don't have a clue on what some cars are, and all they know is how to charge more.
If I were you I'd try a insurance broker and let them find you the cheapest insurance company. Some companies give more discounts for a safe car(air bags, stability control ,etc), and discounts for safe drivers. Some companies give discounts if you install a gps type device to evaluate your driving(not sure how it works).
I pay about 82bucks a month for full coverage and I believe I have 500 deductible and it seems by replies Im the old fart of the bunch; 42
