Do you guys think this is legit?

Just picked up an MMCS for $520 guy said he bought i thinking he needed a whole new unit but ended up not and because no return policy at dealership he couldn't bring it back. Im thinking he might have taken his bad unit and popped it in the new unit box... is there any way to tell etc?

It definitely appears a legit Mitsu MMCS by the markings, but there is no way to know if he switched the casing until you receive it.

I can almost guarantee you something is up, the fact that he has no feedback is a good sign it's too good to be true.

You should have posted before the listing so we could have bidded on it.

You still need the install kit which is another 500 but good deal still.

Thanks for your input. Im thinking he never had a need for ebay until he needed to get rid of this thing. I did buy it with paypal instead of credit card so its possible to file a complaint with paypal and get my money back. he could have had some kind of warranty that paid for it and hes just making a quick buck.. who knows lol im still worried about it. But ill install it the instant it gets here so ill know for sure. Also, he did list it as brand new.... so that would be fraudulent and almost ensure id get my money back.

Of course you can always get your money back.

He could have listed it for a grand and it would have sold instantly though, those head units are not cheap.

i recieved the unit

So i finally got the unit. It definately isnt new. The guy claims he had it in before they realized it was just a connection problem with the wiring he had hooked up. Does anyone know if there is an anti glare coating on the unit or is that the bare screen?

GPS Antenna location revealed

So not only is this unit looking gorgeous after being installed. But just so the guys confused on the GPS location for install on the top side of the dash (where you removed your radio from) there will be two plastic protrusions with a rounded tip. Those plastic pieces go through 2 of the holes on the gps mounting bracket to hold it in place while you screw 2 self tapping screws in that come with the kit. the plastic holders are staggered and the screw holes are staggered as well (one on left top one on right bottom) and vice versa. Let me know if you have any more questions about installing one of these bad boys. Didn't take very long at all.. and no trip to the dealer required since the unit was already programmed.

I've been searching for a few days about doing this mod to a friends car. Thanks for the concise information.
