Muffler Delete Question (please answer)

So I decided to take off the muffler on my X yesterday. It's just gone, no replacement or anything so there's no exhaust tips coming out the back. I just wanted a free/easy solution to make the car a little louder than stock.

I was wondering if there are ANY potentional problems when this is done?
Any input is appreciated.

Side note: car sounds amazing now, just in case anyone else wanted to do something similar.

carbon soot will built up underneath the car and near the end of exhaust will have extreme temps.

Wouldn't the heat shield help that though?

You could expose an area under the car to extreme heat and cause severe damage. Sometimes between shifts fire comes out of my (3in) exhaust, 27 psi of boost.

as i said in post number 2, you will be fine tune wise. you will need a tune if you add a 3" downpipe and/or hfc or tp.

Hate to be you in traffic having to inhale all that exhaust from under your car. I guess you'll pass out before anyone notices. At least put a tip that extends from under the car--yes, there is a law--. But hey, be safe and do the rt thing.

I thought the catalytic converter was what is responsible for controlling the carbon monoxide, co2, etc.

Would removing the muffler affect it?

Sorry for the noob questions
