i have invidiq q300 with the burnt tips if you're into that. It's a pretty quiet exhaust for the evo compared to many of the other ones but it is louder than stock. Deep sounding as well. Sounds pretty good when you get on it, but if you're looking for loud this would not be the route to go.

 

ETS open dump downpipe, ETS catless test pipe w/ resonator, and ETS Extreme exhaust is what I'm running. Love it!!

I've asked this question before to another member, but I guess I'll ask again:


Does that exhaust setup sound raspy at the higher RPMs?
I've seen some videos of that setup and it sounds a little raspy/high pitched at the high rpms. I understand the youtube videos don't do it justice, but I was just wondering if that's what it sounds like in person

Just installed an AMS downpipe, ams high flow cat and an ETS quiet exhaust. Love the sound, no drone, and my wife has not complained yet. Perfection.

If you're looking for an exhaust without drone I would go with our quiet option. This system is not too quiet, but it's quite compared to our other exhausts. You can definitely tell you have an aftermarket exhaust system.

I have had the MXP(the one shaped like the amuse), Tomei, ETS V2, Invidia Q300 and the Sakura street. The sakura street is the best for me by far IMO, It has a really unique sound to it, believe it or not, it has a similar tone to my sisters 135i on a cold start and it just sounds amazing. Its loud on the outside but quieter on the inside with minimal drone.. My setup now is the ETS O2 dump dp, Tomei tp and the sakura street cbe.

 

I really REALLY wish i had the opportunity to hear the difference between the ETS quiet and ETS v2 in real life. People have said the Quiet is the way to go because it is not actually quiet... but i dont know that.. I'm just going to wait until i find someone here in MN who owns a ETS quiet & ETS V2.

your Sakura Street drones? I was planning on getting this but definitely wanted ZERO drone. Did the Q300 drone or drone less?

 

with the sakura being pretty loud, it has to have some drone. it only really drones above 4k and even then, its not bad at all. trust me, i've had the tomei and ets V2 are deathly loud and drone like crazy. I would definitely recommend the sakura street to anyone. Also keep in mind that mine is a turbo back setup, so if you dont have any other exhaust components it probably wont drone. The Q300 has no drone what so ever but its very quiet, it has a good tone but its very quiet.
