Hey guys, I just got my Torque Solutions Short Shifter from MAP (thanks for the great deal btw guys). I opened up the package to inspect everything and to my surprise the welds aren't that great. I actually emailed Torque Solutions directly before I purchased it and asked about the quality of the welds specifically. I brought up this thread and asked about it.

Will the quality of the welds negatively affect the smoothness of the throws? The longevity of the short shifter itself?

Should I spend the extra money, >$100 and get the TWM Short Shifter instead? Is it worth it?

Any input and opinions welcome. Thanks in advance for the help.

 

Yea I would send that crap back that must have been a mistake that is ugly and may effect the strength of the part as well.

 

Hey, thanks for the reply. Ya, I agree. From what I understand it needs to be perfectly smooth as it pivots in the cup. I bought it to remedy the notchiness not make it worse.

Anyone who has this brand care to comment on theirs?
